Description

Premises liability may involve multiple individuals and settings. This course will discuss the necessary steps to investigating a premises liability claim, including what evidence needs to be preserved, the steps to be taken after an injury has occurred, and how an investigation should proceed based on the specific context of the claim. For a proper understanding of premises liability, one must first understand the applicable law, and how the law may change in the context of different individuals and factually distinct scenarios. By understanding the interplay between statutes, secondary sources, and case law, the individual investigating a premises liability claim can better understand how that claim should be handled.
