Annual Conference Fever

The saying “March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb” refers to the weather, but at the CLM, it also refers to Annual Conference time. As the month begins, our staff and membership are working tirelessly to prepare for the conference. By month’s end, we’re all taking a deep breath and looking back at the fond memories we have of connecting with colleagues, meeting new people, and learning from each other.

This will be my 10th CLM Annual Conference, but it’s the first time I’ll be taking the stage as CLM CEO. Having spent more than a decade as a CLM member and a member of our Advisory Board, I know how much time and expertise our membership gives to help make the CLM a thriving, successful community of professionals. I’m incredibly proud and grateful to work with such a talented group.

“Community” is a word we hear often when people speak about the CLM. We’re not just a professional association; we are a community. Real relationships and connections are made through the CLM. We support and help one another. I’ve heard, and have personally experienced, so many stories of members and fellows reaching out to one another for assistance or advice on a claim or some related matter. Our membership openly shares their expertise and experiences for the benefit of others. We really cannot thank you enough.

Since this is my first CLM Annual Conference “on the inside,” I’m seeing now up close the incredible work our staff does to pull off an event of this magnitude. From the big-picture session and party planning down to name badges and attendee folders, thousands of hours are poured into every last detail to make sure everyone has a fabulous conference experience. Thank you to our staff and everyone who works to make the Annual Conference a success.
