October 28, 2019
Temperatures are dropping, leaves are starting to fall (at least in some parts of the country), and it’s pumpkin-spice-everything season. Change is in the air. One of the biggest changes for our industry is the official launch of the Universal Claims Certification (UCC), which I’m thrilled to share we made available to the public on Oct. 1.
The UCC has been a significant initiative spearheaded by the CLM for the past several years. We heard from our membership what a burden it was to obtain licenses in multiple states, and set out to find a solution. You can read all about the UCC in this month’s cover story on page 24. Complete details and instructions on how to secure your UCC are available on the CLM website at www.theclm.org/ucc.
One thing that won’t change is our dedication to providing exceptional education and networking events. Now that Claims College, Construction, and CLM Southeast have wrapped, we’re hard at work planning the 2020 CLM Annual Conference. Thank you to so many of you who have submitted amazing speaking proposals. We were overwhelmed by the volume of strong topics and speakers, and are really excited to continue having valuable discussions on cutting-edge topics. Registration for the Annual Conference will open at noon ET on Monday, Dec. 2. The CLM team has some great new ideas for the Annual Conference and is planning great networking events in Dallas. It all kicks off on March 18, 2020.
