Big changes are coming, and I’m not just talking about the presidential election (I’m sure that turned out just fine, right?).
No, the changes I’m talking about concern two of CLM’s publications: this one, and Litigation Management magazine. Beginning in January 2017, the two are merging to create one new flagship publication, rather fittingly named CLM Magazine. But it’s more than just a simple coming together of great minds and content; we’ve been busy behind the scenes crafting a raft of new departments that promise to put the focus squarely on CLM happenings while freshening things up a bit, too. I’m excited to see what you think.
We also plan to continue addressing current events by examining how they will affect our industry, like this month’s Matthew blowout, a first for us in terms the scale and breadth of content. While the storm could have been much, much worse, it still is on track to crack the top 10 worst storms in U.S. history in terms of insured losses. Like every storm, it gives us the chance to demonstrate what we’ve learned from previous disasters, while also presenting some new, unforeseen areas for us to improve upon.
Finally, I’d be remiss in this month of giving thanks if I didn’t mention some of the CLM folks who made our Matthew coverage possible. CLM’s always amazing Insurance Fraud Committee went above and beyond to deliver its “Awash in AOBs” piece in record time, and Cunningham Lindsey’s Judy Molnar was excellent in rounding up the independent voices we hear from in “On the Scene.” Bravo!
