Ending the Year Full of Hope

We’ve pivoted, created, and refined, on repeat, all year.

Here we are…closing in on the end of 2020, a year unlike any other in my lifetime. While the challenges we’ve all faced this year have been without precedent, I’m hopeful that you join me in looking back at the year and appreciating the positives. We’ve collectively demonstrated a resiliency that deserves recognition. It’s been far from easy, but we did it!

We’ve pivoted, created, and refined, on repeat, all year. Our community has stayed engaged and set record registration numbers for our virtual events and webinars. Participation in virtual-networking events has been met with great enthusiasm. We just launched our Town Hall series and will soon be launching Tech Talks. These new ways to connect will continue even when we start to hit the road and gather in person again.

Now we look to 2021 full of hope. Of course, the pandemic doesn’t end on Jan. 1, but there are so many signs of hope. The news on the vaccination front is looking good. We’re not out of the woods yet, and the loss has been monumental both in terms of lives lost and economic impact, but I think (and hope) we’re starting to see the edge of the woods.

We have pushed our Annual Conference back from March to June, and we remain cautiously optimistic that we will be gathering in Atlanta in June. The health and safety of our membership and staff will remain at the forefront of all the decisions we make. I’m going to end the year full of hope that we will be together again, in person, in 2021.

Stay well; stay hopeful.
