It’s Groundhog Day all over again…and again…and again….
When I wrote my letter in April 2020 discussing the pivot of CLM’s Annual Conference to a virtual day of learning, I was hoping to not tackle the same subject this month. Yet here we are again. We’re all Bill Murray on a never-ending Groundhog Day loop waking up each day only to discover it’s the same as the day before. At least our calendar is moving forward, but the days sure are starting to all feel the same. Today is “Blursday,” again.
The news changes daily and we are keeping a close eye on developments and the guidance from local, state, and federal authorities. Based on the current situation, we have made the decision to transition our June events to virtual conferences. Thank you so much to the committee/community leaders and members, speakers, sponsors, and CLM staff who continue to tackle the challenges of moving content and event experiences to a virtual environment. The good news is we’ll be offering these events at no charge to our membership. Check out the CLM website for all of the details, theclm.org.
In other good news, virtual local chapter events are taking shape. We’re also hopeful that as areas with fewer COVID-19 cases start to open up again, we’ll be able to host local chapter events in person. In the meantime, there are a number of interesting webinars and topic-focused roundtables being scheduled to keep CLM membership connected and educated on relevant developments.
Our CLM community is strong, and we are demonstrating that strength as we come together to share knowledge, network, and just check in on one another. If there’s anything we can do to support you during this time, please reach out to me or any of the CLM staff.
