Having recently wrapped CLM’s Annual Conference, I’m even more energized about the future of our organization and our industry. I was impressed by the robust discussions that spilled over into the hallways after the sessions as our membership clearly engaged each other. I also participated in many meetings prior to the beginning of the conference. During every meeting, I saw firsthand our membership’s excitement for continuing to grow the CLM and serve the industry. Though the conference was a whirlwind of activity, I truly enjoyed being able to say hello in person to so many of you.
In October, we’ll be holding the first CLM Litigation Management Symposium. This fantastic new event is the result of an idea brought to us by long-time board member Dan Winkler from Westfield Insurance. Not only did Dan have the idea for this event that fills a gap in education and networking among the highest levels of litigation management professionals and law firm innovators, but also he’s spearheading the development of the program with Dan Costello of Daniel P. Costello & Associates. This is the power of our membership.
Several more exciting ideas were discussed during CLM’s Annual Conference. We held the first meeting of our Young Professionals Advisory Board in Orlando, and that amazing group had a number of significant and creative ideas for how to engage the industry’s younger population. We are inspired by their energy and ideas and will be rolling out several of those initiatives in the coming months. Stay tuned!
I’m always open to listening to your ideas and suggestions. To better serve the industry, we need to hear from you, the industry. Please reach out and let me know what’s on your mind. I look forward to hearing from you.
