As I finished my morning workout, the sun started to rise on the horizon. It was stunning and felt symbolic today. Spring is nearly here, and everything is feeling a bit brighter. I feel the hope of the world opening up again. What a long and exhausting hibernation this has been!
I know the pandemic has been harder for some, especially those who have lost loved ones, been ill themselves, or faced the challenges of homeschooling and childcare on top of their careers. I’ve had my own ups and downs over the past 12 months, but right now I feel full of energy and eager to tackle new challenges. Almost like a tulip bulb that has quietly lived under ground for a while, I’m ready for spring, warmth, and to emerge back into the world.
CLM recently announced our decision to push our Annual Conference back to August. I’m thrilled we were able to do that. Looking at the accelerated pace of the vaccine roll out and overall herd immunity, August looks to be a great time to gather again in person. We will be taking all necessary precautions leading up to and during the event, and cannot wait to see all those faces we have missed this past year. Like always, pandemic or not, CLM will host the best conference experience for all of you.
We’ll also be launching new Local Chapter events along with a full calendar of fall events. Don’t worry, we’ll also be keeping up with a full schedule of webinars and other opportunities to connect virtually.
