Happy Holidays!

Let's reflect on all that we’ve accomplished as a community

As 2019 is coming to a close, we reflect on all that we’ve accomplished as a community in the last year and look forward to more great things on the horizon for 2020—and beyond.

We stayed true to our renewed commitment to high-quality education. We’re fortunate that the talented CLM community continues to work together to create and deliver such excellent educational content.

2019 brought significant growth in the CLM membership numbers and event attendance as well as a new event, Litigation Management Symposium, to serve an industry need. Not only will we be adding a School of Litigation Management to the 2020 CLM Claims College, but also additional events are in the works. One topic addressed at the 2019 CCO Summit, “Runaway Verdicts – Causes and Solutions,” has led to a working group to address the nuclear verdicts. More on that to come!

2019 also saw the launch of the Universal Claims Certification. We are pleased with the number of people registering for the UCC as well as for the pre-certification course and exam. We expect 2020 will bring significant growth for the UCC in terms of the number of individual UCC holders and also in the number of states that recognize the UCC.

2019 also brought the launch of the CLM Young Professionals Advisory Board and Community. This group is making sure the voices of our next generation of industry leaders are represented in our conferences, webinars, magazine articles, and so much more. If you know any young professionals, please make sure you recommend they join CLM so they can join our thriving community.

I’m especially pleased to see the growth of our local chapters. We know not everyone is able to travel to some of our larger events, and local chapter events are a great way to be engaged with the CLM community. If you haven’t attended one of these events yet, make that a 2020 goal. You will not be disappointed.

2019 has been a tremendous year, and I look forward to working with you all and continuing to grow and engage the CLM community in 2020.
