Get Involved With Your Local Chapter

There are many local chapter events happening in the month of April. Jump into spring with a new networking group. Local chapters are spread throughout the country and host both networking and educational events. Visit this map to find your nearest local chapter.

Here’s a sample of what’s happening in April:

On April 18, the Connecticut chapter is hosting its first networking event of 2024 at New Park Brewing in West Hartford; the Northern New Jersey chapter is hosting an educational and networking event at Five Dimes Brewery in Westwood; and the Nevada chapter is holding a networking event at the Kona Grill in Las Vegas. This Is the Final Week To Submit Session Proposals for CLM’s Construction Conference

That’s right, the session proposal portal will close at 11:59pm ET on April 12. So don’t miss out! Gather up your presenters and submit a title, description, and speakers for the 2024 Construction Conference scheduled for September 18-20 in Huntington Beach, CA.

CLM’s Construction Conference has been the preeminent construction defect conference for over a decade. This conference brings together hundreds of claim managers, attorneys, risk managers, and builders from across the country. State-Specific Education

If you’re looking for content specific to the states where you handle claims, look no further than CLM’s State Specific Education. CLM is offering “Coverage Issues Arising Out of CGL Policies” in the following states: Colorado, New York, Florida, Ohio, and Michigan on various dates from June 18 to June 27.

These educational sessions are focused on the state-specific nuts and bolts that truly matter to your daily work. The sessions are one hour with virtual instructor-led training featuring state-recognized subject matter experts. Content is curated to reflect the unique standards and laws within each state.

Get Ready for May Webinars

CLM has three webinars queued up in the month of May. Join us as we present “Package Deal: Insights on Coverage and Strategy for Consolidated Lien, Delay, and Construction Defect Claims” on Wednesday, May 8 at 12pm ET. This webinar has been approved for CE credit in certain states. 

The following week, on May 17, CLM will present “Shining a Light: Recognizing and Addressing Bias in the Legal Profession.” This webinar is specifically for attorneys in Illinois who need to complete their DEI requirement. It will be presented at 12pm CT.

Finally, on May 22, we will present “Nuclear Negotiations: Tips and Tricks To Maximize Effectiveness When Negotiating Claims.” It is scheduled for 12pm ET.
