CLM Names New President

CLM is pleased to announce that Susan Wisbey-Smith has returned to the CLM as president. Wisbey-Smith succeeds Ronna Ruppelt who we thank for her service to CLM.

Wisbey-Smith worked for CLM in multiple roles from 2011 through 2020, ultimately serving as chief communications officer. In 2020, Wisbey-Smith transitioned to The Institutes, CLM’s parent company, where she served as vice president of Business Unit Marketing, leading The Institutes' marketing team, which serves 16 business units.

On her return to CLM, Wisbey-Smith says, “I look forward to emphasizing CLM’s roots of fully serving both claims and litigation management, and to expanding on the excellent work of the CLM team and our membership. I am excited that our near-term initiatives, such as the newly launched Litigation Management Task Force, will give our Advisory Board, our strong CCO community, and our full membership, the opportunity to respond and guide the conversations around the challenges that face the claims and litigation management communities.”

Bring Your Ideas to the Big Apple

CLM invites you to submit a session proposal for its Focus Conference & Holiday Party scheduled for Dec. 4 in NYC. This is the perfect opportunity to sneak in one more professional speaking role before 2024 comes to a close.

The conference will feature the following subject areas: alternative dispute resolution, extra-contractual, insurance coverage, insurance fraud, and, of course, claims and litigation management. Development of these presentations gives participating CLM members a chance to collaborate with other industry thought leaders.

This is a much-loved event as it includes our annual holiday party with the high level of networking that CLM is known for. So, if you’ve got a great idea and a compelling panel, let us know. We are accepting session proposals through Monday, July 1. For more information and the online submission form, click here.
