Renewed Educational Focus

CLM has recharged the educational focus for our membership and the industry.

The CLM was founded in 2007 to provide education and networking opportunities for insurance claims and litigation management professionals. With the acquisition by The Institutes earlier this year, we have recharged our educational focus for our membership and the industry. The Institutes is well known for their certification and online educational programs while the CLM is well known for educational and networking conferences. Bringing together the strengths of both organizations will help keep the CLM on track for a bright future.

We have several substantial educational efforts underway. As we prepare to launch the Universal Claims Certification (UCC), we are finalizing the UCC’s 40-hour pre-certification course and exam. This comprehensive, online program is being developed and finetuned by some of the most respected industry experts in conjunction with educational professionals.

We are also preparing to open registration on Dec. 3, 2018, for the 2019 Annual Conference in Orlando next March. Our staff, education committee, and advisory board members are working hard to ensure each session is top notch to meet the needs of our membership. Our goal with each session is to feature expert speakers delivering fresh content that provides each attendee with tangible takeaways that they can incorporate into their work. Of course, the Annual Conference will also feature tremendously fun networking events as always, but we’re refocusing on the strength of the educational sessions for 2019, as well.

For each conference, local chapter event, and webinar, the CLM is always looking for those industry professionals with expertise on a topic. We open session proposal portals before planning each conference to give our membership an opportunity to suggest conference topics and speakers. If you have an idea, we’d love to hear from you. You can email me at any time with ideas for sessions you’d like to see covered during a conference or webinar or in an article in CLM Magazine.

Here’s to learning together in the years to come!
