Brittney Aquino attributes much of her success at Kahana Feld to the firm itself and the support it provides, not just for young attorneys but also associates in particular through its mentorship program. She explains that the firm makes sure the right pairings are made between associates, partners, and support staff to ensure that the work that is done is best for the client, and a learning opportunity for the attorneys.

At Kahana Feld, Aquino is a leader in the firm’s general liability and construction groups. Aquino had a particularly proud professional moment last year when she successfully settled three difficult cases she had been juggling at the same time.

Acting as an associate liaison at her firm for the better part of 2024 gave Aquino the opportunity to be a resource for others, not just in her office, but also firm-wide, handling substantive questions, providing advice on the responsibilities of an associate, and offering guidance about larger firm policy objectives alike. Aquino acknowledges that “the investment we provide in each other really only serves to benefit [everyone].”

As a full-time attorney and mother of two children, Aquino is able to wear both hats well. She can be relied upon to handle her workload even when in “full mom mode.”

Aquino is proud of a new initiative she helped organize at the firm raising money for local children’s charities. Their first annual softball game raised over $10,000 for resources for an autism center for local children. Due to its success, Aquino believes this will be an annual event, and she values her philanthropic objectives.
