This course focuses on the initial notice of a commercial motor vehicle loss fact pattern. Recognition of the difference between personal auto claims to commercial motor vehicle loss claims as well as initial theories of liability are covered. The goal of this course is to give an individual insight on how to assess a loss from the earliest notice, recognize issues and make important determinations for critical decisions.

The Resolution of a Commercial Motor Vehicle Lawsuit Prior to Trial
This course focuses on the process by which the defendant in a commercial motor vehicle case attempts to resolve the case prior to trial. The course outlines how to approach a file to attempt to reach a resolution early on; the ins-and-outs of preparing for and presenting at pre-trial mediation; how depositions and Independent Medical Examinations can be opportunities for resolution of a case; opportunities to resolve a case on the eve of trial; and ways to narrow the risk of taking a case to trial. Everyone in the target audience for this course participates in some way in the process by which a commercial motor vehicle case is either resolved prior to trial, or is tried to a jury. The overall purpose of this course is to give an individual a foundation of knowledge that will enable that person to be an effective participant in the resolution and trial process.
The Trial of a Commercial Motor Vehicle Lawsuit
This course focuses on the trial of a commercial motor vehicle case. The course outlines discusses how to assess what the overall theme and presentation to the jury should be; countering tactics by the plaintiff; how the scope of discovery affects trials; the benefits of using mock trials and focus groups; how witnesses can make or break a case; the different pretrial motions available; what to consider when selecting a jury; what evidentiary issues to prepare for; how to preserve the grounds for appeal; and typical issues face in appeal. Everyone in the target audience for this course participates in some way in the process by which a commercial motor vehicle case is either resolved prior to trial, or is tried to a jury. The overall purpose of this course is to give an individual a foundation of knowledge that will enable that person to be an effective participant in the resolution and trial process.
